Based in New York, Carleigh Queenth comes to art advising and appraising after 21 years of experience at Christie’s auction house where she was Vice President, Head of the European Ceramics, Glass, and Chinese Export Art in New York, and co-head of their Exceptional auction. During her tenure she worked closely on the collection sales of Leo Hodroff, Maria Felix, Benjamin F. Edwards, Robert Hatfield Ellsworth, Syd Levethan, Richard Melon Scaife, President Ronald Reagan, David and Peggy Rockefeller, Ann and Gordon Getty, as well as the Rothschild family, among many others. Carleigh excels at project and client management, using her decades of auction experience to help clients navigate selling their collections to their best advantage.
An executive board member of the American Ceramic Circle, Carleigh is also involved in many arts groups, including the Decorative Arts Trust and the French Porcelain Society. She is an Attingham Summer School and Royal Collection Studies alumna.
In addition to providing lectures and sitting on panels at museums and beyond, Carleigh has been featured in numerous publications, including: The New York Times Magazine, GQ, Homes & Gardens, and Vanity Fair.
